When doing these quick challenges, I discover I had a hard time coming up with a design for each of the concepts but at the same time what I learn is that sometimes you just have to just start creating rather you have a concept in mind or not. Just making something could lead you in a different road or path then what you thought about originally. For an example I never thought about doing a quick challenge because I thought I always had to have a plan or idea on how I want to execute my concept for each project that I'm doing rather it was for class assignment or just for myself. But you know sometimes you just need a change of pace or to get out your comfort zone to explore new things. Rather it's a new material or a new concept that you never thought of. The quick challenges that I enjoyed the most were the gesso and paper. The reason I enjoyed the gesso and paper challenge is because I never worked with gesso before. I got to experiment with it and understand how the quality works with other materials. Like example, I never knew that you could use charcoal with it. Rather you used it as a hold or crushed it into smaller piece to a point its dust. Another challenge that I like doing was conversation because even though people talk everyday rather it was about something important or just having small talk with a random strange, friends, or family. I never thought what it would look like. Like example some people may look at as wavelength but for me it looks like memories rather it was good conversation or bad conversation. I will always remember those conversation in memories even if later in my life I may forget those conversations and memories. Everything I want to keep exploring them because I wanna push my limit and see where they take me. Like old saying is the sky is the limit. I wanna use all and all different materials and see what I can create rather it the ceiling to floor all the way down to gesso and paper. Doing these quick challenges was a new experience that never thought I would be doing or think about creating.

The material that I use was charcoal to make the drawing. The drawing represents a girl dancing in space or dancing in water The reason I went this route because the colors that I used for the background was white, dark blue and light blue. What I like about my drawing the concept of it. Is that how the color complete with each other. On top of that when I was erasing the charcoal again it gave some strokes to it that I really like about it. It gives it as nice texture to it. If there was something I could change it would be drawing the figure better and giving it more details to it as well. As well possibility giving it more color to the figure as well. The changes that I made to the second transformation was color the with the circles with dark blue and light blue over it again. The concept that I was going for the third transformation was dreams. The materials that I used were white paint and a cup. I dipped the cup into the white paint and stamped it on the paper at random areas. What worked for me was the cup because even though I knew I could draw it would look okay but I want the circle to look like there fading into the distance when looking at it from a distance but when up close you could see them better. I didn’t have any problems when doing the second transformation for the materials that I chose to use. The reason I went on this route was because I wanted to present when you’re dreaming what do you see when your eyes are closed do walk to a place without knowing where you’re going with no destination or are you surrounded by orbs or bubbles that led to you to a place where you know your dreaming. When I dream, I don’t know where I’m until I know I’m dreaming. For example, when I dream of seeing a celebrity that I admire, I know that I would have a high chance of never meeting them in person. That’s when I know I’m dreaming and hoping that I don’t wake up so I can enjoy this moment as much as possible. What I learned the most was how to use gesso and understanding how other painting materials would work. If I give the opportunity again, I will use it again with no questions asked. With the fourth transformation of this drawing, I was using masking tape. I would cut the tape at different lengths of it rather they were long, short, vertical, or horizontal. What I did next was spat some paint with a paint brush then took a paint spackle to spread the paint in random areas throughout the paper. The colors that I used were blue, purple, red, black ink, orange, yellow, white, grey, and purple. If there was something I would change it would be adding more tape and colors to it. Specially the black ink I like how it gives me a nice range of how it spreads and how it blends well with other colors as well. The final transformation that I went for was a rose jellyfish. I cut out the circle from the white paint that previously made and with the tap still on it. Then I took a cup and fold the edges around the rims of the cup. Took some glue to glue them on top of each other. I repeat the process 5 to 8 times until it stated to form a rose. Once I was done with the rose petal, I cut the left-over paper the I had. I made some that were short, long, thin and thick. I would tire them around. I also used the red tape to keep it in place. I there was something I would change it would be the flower petals by removing the tape of it before gluing them down. Because the petals wouldn't stay in place. When layering the petals Would glue the long and short papers to give it more of a jellyfish look. I would also curl the paper to give it the waves that jellyfish have.
